Fall 2025 Recap and Upcoming Events!
7th and 8th grade Bands had a fall concert in October.
We had 5 students who were part of the MCHS Marching Band and finished 4th place at KMEA Marching Band State Championships in Class 5A.
8th Grade Band performed at Waco Elem and CMMS Veterans Day Programs.
We had our winter concert on Dec. 16, despite it being an NTI Day, because who wants to come back in January and playing Holiday Music?! Plus the students had already worked so hard and it showed! This was 6th grade’s first concert.
We had an awesome student teacher last semester from UK, Mr. Neff, who moved back home to New Hampshire. This semester, we have Ms. Amburgey with us from EKU!
Jan. 12, we had 38 7th and 8th graders travel to EKU on Tuesday to audition for the All-District Band. 21 were selected! The event will be March 12-13 in Danville.
Our next CMMS Bands concert will be March 10.
7th and 8th grade bands will travel to Atlanta in April and 6th grade will perform at a festival at Malibu Jacks in Lexington.
