Grades K-6

Students in the LCCE Art Club from 5th and 6th grades have been hard at work creating a bright, welcoming mural that adds color and creativity to our school. The project brought together young artists who were excited to share their ideas and talents while making something meaningful for the entire school community.

Under the guidance of their art club teacher, Dr. Laura Stone, students brainstormed themes that represent what LCCE stands for—kindness, teamwork, learning, and pride in our school. After sketching designs and choosing colors, the students worked side by side painting the mural, carefully adding details and encouraging one another throughout the process.

The mural features cheerful imagery and positive messages that help everyone who enters the school feel included and welcome. Each student contributed their own unique style, making the artwork a true team effort and a reflection of the creativity found at Central Elementary.

This project has been more than just a painting the wall. It helped students build confidence, practice collaboration, and learn how art can bring people together. The finished mural will be installed as a reminder of the hard work and imagination of our 5th and 6th grade LCCE Art Club students—and as a warm greeting to all who walk through our school doors.
