Grades 6-7
Our 7 Blue students recently wrapped up their Library Media Skills class with an exciting Shark Tank-style project that had creativity, technology, and critical thinking at the forefront. Students were challenged to design professional product packaging, carefully considering aesthetics, functionality, and branding before presenting and pitching their ideas to the class.
Throughout the project, students collaborated in teams, applying the skills they had learned in digital design, research, and multimedia tools like Canva. They explored how color, typography, and layout influence consumer perception and practiced communicating their ideas clearly and persuasively.
This hands-on project not only enhanced problem-solving skills but also gave students a chance to connect classroom knowledge to real-world applications. By designing and pitching their products, they experienced firsthand how creativity, planning, and critical thinking come together in professional settings.
The Shark Tank project is a shining example of how project-based learning and technology integration can foster deeper understanding, engagement, and confidence in students—preparing them for future academic and career opportunities.
